All-on-4® New Teeth in One Day in Laguna Hills

Dr. Garcia and Dr. Conkle are both highly trained in the All-on-4 procedure.

Dr. Conkle and Dr. Garcia have many years of experience placing implants in our office, and they handle over 200 implant cases every year.

Additionally, they both completed comprehensive and rigorous training in the All-on-4 procedure with Noble BioCare, followed by a surgical externship at the renowned California Implant Institute. During their training, they mastered the skills necessary to perform all the necessary diagnostics, treatment planning, implant surgery and placement of the new teeth. This included treating a large number of patients with a vast array of challenges and complications.

Advantages of All-on-4

All-on-4  has many advantages that make it an excellent option for full-arch teeth replacement:

Only four implants in each arch

All-on-4® New Teeth in One Day in Laguna HillsThe doctors often need to place only four implants in each arch. That’s because the implants are placed at precise angles to take maximum advantage of existing bone.

Restored chewing power

Whereas removable implant-supported dentures provide 40-60 percent of normal chewing power, fixed-in implant-supported dentures recover 90-95 percent of natural chewing and biting capability.

No need for bone grafting

Bone grafting is used in dental implant procedures when there isn’t sufficient bone to support the implants. With All-on-4, the implants are slightly longer and are placed at angles that take advantage of existing available bone, thus maximizing support. This eliminates the need for bone grafting for most patients and makes the procedure much less invasive.

No false upper palate

Your new teeth will not have the false palate on the upper arch that inhibits your sense of taste or blocks your perception of heat and cold. This makes eating a lot safer and more enjoyable.

No painful chewing sores

Since your new teeth will be firmly fixed onto implants, they will not slip or irritate your gums. This prevents the painful sores that come from the irritation caused by loose dentures.

Preventing bone loss

To maintain its volume and density, your jawbone requires constant chewing pressure. Otherwise, the bone will dissolve away over time. In just the first year after losing a tooth, 25 percent of the bone around that tooth is also lost.

After you lose all your teeth, the entire bony ridge shrinks and the lower third of your face will take on a collapsed look, leading to sagging jowls and wrinkly skin around the mouth. This can make you appear older and make you more susceptible to jaw fractures.

All-on-4 implant-supported new teeth restore your chewing power and keep the jawbones stimulated, preventing bone loss and facial collapse.

The Benefits of Dental Implants

Missing teeth and wearing dentures cause a gradual progression of bone loss until the face appears to collapse in on itself.

Our All-on-4 Procedure

Consultation

All-on-4® New Teeth in One Day in Laguna Hills

The doctor will explain the procedure in full and answer all your questions.

The first step is meeting with the doctor for a complimentary consultation.  Dr. Conkle or Dr. Garcia will do a visual exam, study your X-rays and intraoral photos, explain the procedure in full and answer all your questions.

Advanced 3D diagnostics

In addition to full digital X-rays, the doctor will use a state-of-the-art cone beam 3D CT scanner to obtain highly detailed 3D 360-degree views of your teeth, jaw and surrounding structures.

From these images, he will be able to precisely assess the bone volume across your entire jaw, and will be able to locate all your anatomical structures, which is invaluable for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

Detailed treatment planning

The doctor will use these images to precisely plan your implant treatment. When needed, he will load your CT scan images into special 3D treatment planning software to map out exactly where the implants will be placed.

Placing your implants

On the day of your procedure, the doctor will perform any needed extractions and place your implants in the planned locations. You will immediately receive a functional set of temporary teeth, which you will wear while your implants heal.

Growth proteins to augment healing

Dr. Garcia and Dr. Conkle use plasma extracted from a small amount of the patient’s own blood and apply it to the surgically treated tissues immediately after the implants are placed. The plasma contains certain clotting agents and growth proteins that speed up healing and increase the density and strength of newly formed tissue. They also prevent infection and reduce swelling, minimizing post-operative discomfort.

Keeping you comfortable during treatment

It is very important to Dr. Conkle and Dr. Garcia that you feel comfortable during your treatment. The doctors will explain everything to you so you understand your procedure clearly, and they will check with you throughout your experience to make sure you are doing well. The doctors do gentle, pain-free work, and our patients feel at ease in the dental chair.

If you need help with heightened anxiety or for long procedures, we offer several sedation options, including IV sedation administered by our board-certified anesthesiologist.

Your beautiful new teeth

Once your implants have healed, you’ll come into our office and have your permanent set of new teeth fixed in place.

Your final teeth will be made of zirconia, the strongest dental ceramic available. If necessary, your new teeth will include an artificial gumline made of pink-stained zirconia. In some cases, depending on the condition of your jawbone and gum tissue, the doctors may be able to make the new set of teeth without any artificial gumline, so that the new teeth emerge right from your own gums.

The doctors will ensure that your new teeth are highly aesthetic and natural-looking, and that they complement your features.

All-on-4 Patient Testimonial

“I can’t recommend Dr. Conkle highly enough. He gets my vote and I will be indebted to him.”

“I respected and admired Dr. Ryan Conkle from the moment I met him. His formal and outstanding dental surgery training at USC coupled with his on-going professional skill enhancing training imbued me with a deep sense of trust and confidence. My dental repair which started with a “wobbly” root canal escalated with a serious and substantiated “worse-case” scenario that major repair on all but a handful of my teeth was in order. As a retiree, working part-time and slightly without dental insurance this seemed an almost insurmountable barrier.

“Dr. Conkle suggested I get a cost-analysis done by his financial advisor, and I did so. I learned that I could secure an interest free line of credit from CareCredit that would cover the cost of “repair” or implants to support both top and bottom. It was a long year but Dr. Conkle supported me every step of the way. He made phone calls after each major procedure to check on my well-being, worked happily around my work schedule. Never once did I have to go “without teeth” or miss a day or hour of work because of the procedures required.

“I was so pleased with the first stage of my treatment that I opted to do a final “permanent” implant stage. I can’t recommend Dr. Conkle highly enough. He gets my vote and I will be indebted to him. Go USC trained dentists!”
