Getting started

Special Offers - Complimentary Cosmetic Consultation

The doctors will explain all steps of the treatment procedure.

Before your treatment, you will get a free, thorough consultation so the doctor can find out your needs and goals. He then makes study models from impressions of your teeth which he studies to see how the teeth meet. The study models also enable him to see, and show you, factors about your teeth that can’t otherwise be seen.

For treatment with several veneers, the doctor creates a “wax-up” model that he manipulates into the final look of the veneers. This tool not only helps the doctor plan your treatment, but it also gives you a visual of what your smile will look like. If you don’t like anything, the doctor can easily change the wax-up until you are fully satisfied with your future smile’s appearance.

Together you and the doctor decide on the shape and shade of your veneers that will most enhance your looks.

Impressions and temporaries

In your next visit the doctor prepares your teeth to receive the veneers and attaches temporary veneers while your final veneers are being fabricated by our excellent lab. Teeth usually need to be shaved down a bit so that the veneers won’t add bulk to them.

Placing the Final Veneers

In a week to two weeks, your veneers will be created by the lab and sent to the office for placement. Once your veneers are placed, the doctor will make any minor adjustments needed to be sure your bite is correct and balanced and that the veneers are comfortable and to your liking.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a more economical alternative to veneers for improving your smile, although veneers are known to be more durable and stain-resistant. In dental bonding, a tooth-colored resin material is applied to the tooth and hardened using a special light that “bonds” the material to the tooth. Once bonding is complete, the material is shaped and polished to match the rest of your teeth. Dental bonding can help take care of many issues, including gaps, misshapen teeth and chipped teeth.
