Advanced Technology

High-tech dentistry for great results and a comfortable experience

Dr. Conkle and Dr. Garcia are dedicated to providing patients with the highest quality care by using the latest and most advanced technology. Here is some information about the state-of-the-art equipment in their office.

  • 3D CT ScannerCT scanner

High-tech CT scans allow our doctors to perform successful surgical procedures by providing precise 3D imaging of the patients’ bone depth and nerve and sinus locations. The doctors use the images obtained from the CT scanner, along with special software, to plan the exact locations and angles of implants.

  • 3M True Definition Intraoral ScannerAdvanced Technology - 3M True Definition Scanner

For making dental restorations such as crowns and bridges, Dr. Conkle and Dr. Garcia utilize the 3M™ True Definition Scanner, which is the most accurate intraoral scanner on the market. It quickly and easily captures an exact 3D replica of the inside of the mouth in precise detail. This technology ensures accuracy and efficiency all the way through the design and production process, from our office to the lab. The result is well-fitting restorations that the doctors can just “drop right in.”

  • PRF CentrifugeCentrifuge

For certain procedures, we use a centrifuge to extract Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) from a small amount of the patient’s own blood. The PRF is used to stimulate tissue growth and healing. This speeds patient recovery and lessens post-operative discomfort.

  • Digital X-rays with 80% less radiation

Digital X-rays use 80% less radiation than traditional film X-rays. The images are more accurate and can be produced much faster, allowing the doctors to carefully show you any issues that may be detected.

  • Dental laser for gentle, precise treatmentAdvanced Technology - Laser Dentistry

Lasers allow our doctors to provide gentle and precise treatment for a variety of procedures. The laser beam targets the exact area without affecting surrounding tissues, which results in faster post-treatment healing times with reduced swelling and without the need for suturing. Dr. Garcia and Dr. Conkle use lasers for desensitizing teeth and oral lesions, gum disease treatment, gum recontouring, the removal of mouth ulcers, and precise bone cutting.

  • Intraoral camerasAdvanced Technology - Intraoral Cameras

Every room at Saddleback Dentistry is equipped with an intraoral camera, a small, handheld camera that shows patients detailed digital images on a computer screen. This device is used during oral exams to quickly and clearly show patients any issues identified by the doctor.

  • Ultrasonic scalers for gentle, effective cleaningAdvanced Technology

Ultrasonic scalers use sound waves to break up bacterial deposits and dislodge plaque and tartar from the surface of your teeth. They can be adjusted for patients with sensitive teeth. This tool helps our hygienists provide a more comfortable and effective cleaning experience for our patients.

Apex locators for precise, successful root canals

The doctors use a cutting-edge apex locator for root canal procedures (endodontics). This electronic device is used to accurately determine the length of the space in the root canal, an essential part of the root canal procedure. This device helps Dr. Garcia and Dr. Conkle perform effective, successful root canals on our patients.
